Orchestration metadata and cryptographically signed verdicts transit the Thoth platform for immutable audit logging. The metered unit is the signed verdict — a Judge-produced, Ed25519+KMS-signed evidence record. The Free tier caps signed verdicts at 50/month; Pro, Team, and Enterprise are unlimited. Unsigned and local cycles are always uncapped.

FAQ

What counts as a signed verdict?

A signed verdict is one Judge-issued, KMS-signed (Ed25519) evidence record persisted to the platform’s audit chain. Each /thoth cycle that completes the gating phase with signing enabled produces exactly one signed verdict. Cycles that run with the Judge disabled, or that bail out before the gating phase, produce no signed verdict and do not consume the FREE quota.

The self-healing fix loop inside a cycle is free — up to --max-cycles retries are bundled and still produce one verdict total.

What happens when I hit my monthly cap?

Free tier: Once 50 signed verdicts are consumed in a billing month, the Judge stops signing for the rest of the period. Cycles still complete and return their deliverable — they’re just marked unsigned_quota_exceeded and produce no audit-grade signature. Local /thoth and unsigned remote cycles continue to work without limits. Quota resets at the start of your billing month.
Pro / Team / Enterprise: No cap. You’re on unlimited signed verdicts.

Are local cycles really unlimited?

Yes, on every plan including Free. Local cycles use Claude Code’s tools in your editor. We don’t see them. We don’t bill them. We don’t know they happened unless you opt into telemetry.

Do you charge for verification?

Never. The /api/v1/judge/public-keys/{kmsKeyVersion} endpoint is unauthenticated and rate-limited only to prevent abuse. Auditors and downstream verifiers do not need an account.

Is there an annual discount?

Yes — annual billing is 16% off (effectively two months free). Available on Pro, Team, and Enterprise. Contact us for an annual quote.

Can I get a refund?

Within 14 days of first purchase, no questions asked. After that, prorated refunds on annual plans only.

Do you offer student / OSS / non-profit pricing?

OSS maintainers and 501(c)(3) non-profits get Pro for $0. Apply at https://thothato.io/community.

Billing

All plans are billed monthly via Lemon Squeezy — our merchant of record. Global VAT and sales tax are handled automatically. Invoices download as PDF from the dashboard.
